Ras malai   is a classic Indian dessert originating from the eastern part of India specially from Bengal. Rasmalai is a Bengali sweet dish where ' ras ' means juice and ' malai ' means cream prepared by absorbing the flat rasgullas in malai topped with dry fruits and saffron. It is extremely delightful, soft, and juicy making it the perfect dessert.  This Raksha Bandhan make this amazing tasty and easy homemade Ras Malai with simple indrigients. Its recipe is easy and comes under budget comprising of all the simple available ingredients with which you make make it at home itself.  Follow the simple recipe step by step and you will end up making the perfect soft ras malai at  home.  RECIPE: Ingredients- • Milk (2 packets 500ml each) [ for 6 Ras malai ] • Sugar ( 200g) • Cardamom powder ( 1tsp) • Dry fruits (Almonds, pistachios, cashews or any of your choice) • Saffron  • Vinegar/Lemon (2 tbsp) • Water (500ml) Recipe : For the Ras : 1. Chana Dal Pokora Recipe

Channa dal pokara is something which is very much attached to myself. From my very childhood me and my sister used to have this pokoras in rainy days and we enjoyed it soo much. Also the chutney that was served tastes soo good! 
What could be more soothing to sit beside your window watching it rain outside and you are having channa dal pokoras with some chutney? Amazing right? So here's its recipe do try it home. 

SERVE- 6
SOAKING TIME- 1 HOUR
COOKING TIME- 30 MINUTES

INGREDIENTS-

• Chana dal ( Split chickpeas)
• Green chillies ( 4 or according to taste)
• Garlic cloves (4)
• Ginger grated (2tbsp)
• Rice flour (3tbsp) [for crispiness]
• Refined oil
• Salt to taste

RECIPE-

1. Soak the Chana dal or split chickpeas in water for 40-60 minutes minimum. 
2. Chop 4 green chillies, grate 2tbsp of ginger and garlic. 
3.Grind soaked chana dal with chillies, ginger and garlic into a rough paste ( don't grind into a smooth paste, let some chana hold its shape) Add 3tbsp of rice flour for crispiness. 
4.Heat oil in a kadhai for deep frying the fritters.
5.Take small portions of the pakora mixture and drop bite sized dough to the hot oil.
6.Fry them stirring on a medium high flame until golden and crisp. 
7. Drain the pokoras in a tissue to soak the excess oil. 
8. Sprinkle some chaat masala and enjoy.
