Ras malai   is a classic Indian dessert originating from the eastern part of India specially from Bengal. Rasmalai is a Bengali sweet dish where ' ras ' means juice and ' malai ' means cream prepared by absorbing the flat rasgullas in malai topped with dry fruits and saffron. It is extremely delightful, soft, and juicy making it the perfect dessert.  This Raksha Bandhan make this amazing tasty and easy homemade Ras Malai with simple indrigients. Its recipe is easy and comes under budget comprising of all the simple available ingredients with which you make make it at home itself.  Follow the simple recipe step by step and you will end up making the perfect soft ras malai at  home.  RECIPE: Ingredients- • Milk (2 packets 500ml each) [ for 6 Ras malai ] • Sugar ( 200g) • Cardamom powder ( 1tsp) • Dry fruits (Almonds, pistachios, cashews or any of your choice) • Saffron  • Vinegar/Lemon (2 tbsp) • Water (500ml) Recipe : For the Ras : 1. Lachcha Semai Recipe | লাচ্ছা সেমাই | Vermicelli Recipe (Eid Special)




Vermicelli ( Lachacha Semai) is a very famous sweet dish served during the occasion of Eid. Vermicelli (Lachcha Semai) is made of wheat flour and is cooked with milk, sugar, saffron, raisins and nuts to make a traditional sweet treat popular across south-east Asia.
The Vermicelli is roasted in ghee and engrossed in flavourful milk with some dry fruits making it taste the perfect sweet delicacy. It is easy to make and is just the cream of the top! 

Sharing it's a simple and tasty recipe on this Eid, don't miss on it and do try this at home. 

Nutrition facts (100g):
•Energy- 521 kcal, 
•Protein- 9 g, 
•Carbohydrate- 56 g
•Fat- 28.5 g (Saturated Fat: 0g, Trans Fat: 0g), •Sodium- 20 mg, 
•Cholesterol- 0mg

Ingredients-
• Vermicelli ( Lachacha Semai) [ 200 g]
• Wholefat Milk (500ml)
• Milk powder [ 1/4 cup]
• Cardamom (2)
• Dry fruits (Cashews, pistachios, almonds, resins, walnuts) [any your choice]
• Ghee (1/4 cup)
• Sugar ( 1/4 cup) [or according to your taste]
• Kewra water (optional)
• Saffron (Kesar)

Recipe-
1. In a pan, heat 2 tbsp ghee, to it add the dry fruits of your choice ( here I have taken cashews) and dry roast them for a minute or two on medium flame.
2. Add the Vermicelli (Lachacha Semai) [ 200 g] to the pan. Now stir it continuously to cook it evenly and to avoid it getting overcooked on one side. Add milk powder (1/4 cup), sugar (1/4 cup). Roast it on low to medium flame until it becomes light brown in colour. 
3. Transfer the Vermicelli (Lachacha Semai), to a glass container (microwave container) or any container of your choice.
4. Now in a saucepan, add 500 ml whole-fat milk, give it a boil. Add 3 cardamoms, 2 drops of Kewra water (optional), 2 tbsp ghee and a pinch of saffron (Kesar). Boil on low to medium flame for about 10 minutes or until it gets half reduced in volume. Switch off the flame.
5. Let the milk get cool down a bit. Add the milk to Vermicelli (Lachacha Semai)
6. Garnish it with dry fruits of your choice.
